A new ice arena, built on the shore of the Atlantic Ocean, opened in New Jersey on Wednesday.
The arena, dubbed The Ice Arena, will seat nearly 2,000 people for hockey games.
The ice arena is one of many in New England that have been approved by the state Department of Environmental Protection, the Associated Press reported.
The state’s Department of Natural Resources says the arena has been designed to be safe for boaters and will be able to handle up to a 10-foot high wall of water, which is likely to cause damage if the arena does get knocked down.
