Orlando City announced Wednesday that it had signed Arenado, a 24-year-old forward who had been on the Lakers’ preliminary list for several months.
Arenado will earn $1.75 million in 2016-17.
He averaged 6.8 points and 5.8 rebounds in 24 games for the Lions last season.
Arenados contract was negotiated during the preseason, but he was not on the roster as the team made moves to upgrade the frontcourt.
